GIFTS AND REWARDS

• The gifts and rewards system within DoublePi is a cornerstone for reinforcing the educational value and environmental stewardship that the app promotes.
• By using PiCoins to purchase virtual gifts, users actively contribute to the advancement of sustainable practices and eco-friendly education. • PiCoins Purchase: Users can buy PiCoins within the app.

 

• Virtual Gifts: PiCoins are exchanged for virtual gifts.

 

• Support System: These gifts are sent to support individuals focused on environmental education and content creation.

 

• Conversion to DoubleGreens: Gifts received are converted into DoubleGreens (DG) at a specific rate set by DoublePi.

 

• Cash Redemption: Accumulated DoubleGreens (DG)s can be redeemed for real cash once a minimum threshold is reached.

 

• Redeeming Criteria: To redeem DGs and withdraw real local currency (i.e. US Dollar for users in United States) a user must meet EITHER one of these criteria at the time of redeeming:
  • Have a DoublePi score of at least 5

DoublePi's virtual currency can be purchased by a user in two ways: either by navigating to the "items" screen (as shown in the first screenshot) or by tapping the + button on the "send a gift to" screen (as seen in the second screenshot). In both instances, a screen with various buying options will appear, allowing the user to select their preferred option. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once the desired amount of PiCoins is successfully purchased, they can then be utilized by the user for acquiring virtual gifts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Users on DoublePi have the flexibility to send gifts to either individual users (as shown in screenshot 1) or to a contest (referenced in screenshot 2). Gifts directed to an individual user, specifically through one of their projects, are exclusively for that user. Conversely, gifts sent to a contest require a higher minimum contribution and are distributed among the top three projects in that contest.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Upon accessing the "send a gift" screen, users can utilize a slider to select a gift amount from their PiCoins balance. The slider interface displays the cost and the icon of the currently selected gift.

 

• Additionally, users can purchase multiple instances of the same gift. This is done by utilizing the multiplier button located to the left of the gift's image.

 

• For a more streamlined process, users can opt for the 'quick send' feature at the bottom of the screen. This feature instantly buys and sends the least expensive gift available, bypassing the need to access the user's PiCoins wallet and instead initiating an in-app purchase.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Redemption Criteria: To redeem DGs, a user must meet EITHER one of these criteria:
  • Have a DoublePi score of at least 5
  • Hold an active DoublePi subscription

To redeem a user's rewards, the user will have to head on to "rewards' in the "items' section of the app. Once they accumulate a certain threshold of DoubleGreens (DG), they will be able to withdraw it. The value in local currency will be displayed, as in screenshot number 2.
